The Astrian Empire is a beast with an insatiable appetite for conquest. When Prince Kallister loses his battle for succession, the empire he should have ruled threatens to consume him as well. To escape the attempts on his life, Kallister flees to the only place where the empire can’t reach him: Everi. However, the treacherous northern lands hold their own dangers for the prince.
Odina already earned her place amongst her people, winged warriors that guard Everi against the Astrian Empire. Their goddess declared Odina would lead the Delleveri people to a time of great peace. Ever since that day, her life dissolved into training and preparing to fulfill her Purpose, at the cost of her own identity. But when she finds a stray Astrian in the mountains, she must confront those feelings of inadequacy.
Beyond the Mountain is a fantasy novel combining a rich folkloric setting and an enemies-to-lovers subplot.

About Us
Authors Katelynn Dilday and Kelsey Winton have always been passionate about writing and storytelling. They describe themselves as curious authors who love exploring different themes and motifs. They quickly bonded as best friends over the laborious pain of thesis writing in graduate school. While Kelsey remained close to the college for work, Katelynn continued to pursue her other passion and is currently attending veterinary school. Needing a creative outlet amongst too much scientific terminology, Katelynn asked Kelsey the question that would change their lives, "Do you want to write a novel with me?" As part of their writing process, they love immersing themselves in their projects—diving headfirst into the research, production, and fine-tuning of the stories they feel are the most worthy of telling.
